About Us

ABOUTAsia is based in Siem Reap close to Angkor Wat and the temples of the Angkor Archaeological Park. The company is Western owned and managed with profits supporting the education of children in rural Cambodia.

Andy Booth first visited Cambodia in 2003, and began working on the projects that became ABOUTAsia Schools and ABOUTAsia in 2004. The company was originally started under the name SAGE Insights in 2005 with the schools organisation named IAMCambodia. The aim was to of create innovative tailor-made travel solutions in Cambodia and use the profits to support the education of Cambodian children.

Cambodian Travel company law changed in 2006, and the decision was made in early 2007 to restructure and rename the company ABOUTAsia with IAMCambodia becoming a more distinct and separate organisation. Due to new limitations on the use of "Cambodia" in organisation titles, the decision was taken in 2010 to rename IAMCambodia as "ABOUTAsia Schools" and set it up as a 501c3 USA registered charity.

While still a relative newcomer, innovation, fair pricing and consistent quality of service has attracted attention locally and overseas. ABOUTAsia is now recognised as an expert in VIP and 5* touring and is trusted by Orient Express, Raffles, Sofitel, Hotel de la Paix and others with their important guests in Cambodia.
