Day 0 - Arrive at Siem Reap

Day 1 - Siem Reap

Begin your vacation with a relaxing morning at one of the three PGA rated golf courses in Siem Reap - perhaps play a round at the Sir Nick Faldo-designed Angkor Golf resort, with a professional coach.

Returning from lunch we drive out to the "women's temple" Banteay Srei, and examine its exquisite carvings, before returning to the main Angkor Temple park, and to the Twin Temples of Pre Rup and East Mebon.

Day 2 - Contemporary life

We start by visiting the large local market Psa Leu to get a real taste (and smell!) of contemporary life in Cambodia, before moving on to the Tonle Sap lake, and explore one of the floating or stilted villages on its periphery. Returning from the lake, we can stop and look at the Roluos group of temples, before moving to Wat Attvea for a water blessing by the monks of the pagoda at this ancient Angkor temple.

In the evening, we take a tour by moto-remorque ("tuk-tuk") finishing at Gyeongju, "Night Town" - the large fair that appears every evening on the road to the temples, where you can dance eat and relax with the locals.

Day 3 - Essential temples

Begin with a short period of meditation and yoga at your hotel, before beginning our tour of the "must see" temples, starting with Ta Prohm, and Angkor Wat itself, before moving to the walled city of Angkor Thom and the iconic Bayon temple. Finish this extensive day's touring with sunset drinks away from the crowds.

Day 4 - Boat to Battambang

Travel up river by private boat across the Tonle Sap and up the Sangker River to Battambang, the centre of Cambodia's fertile North West. You will make several scheduled stops along this beautiful river, but of course the boatman will stop wherever you would like.

Day 5 - Battambang

Walk through the sleepy riverside town of Battambang and admire the well-preserved French colonial buildings before moving out and exploring the lush countryside, Phnom Sampeau and Phnom Banan, and Cambodia's only vineyard.

Day6 - Battambang to Phnom Penh

By private transportation, today explore the villages, markets and rural scenery along the way to Phnom Penh, including Pursat province, known for its marble carvers and oranges. Arrive in the city in the late afternoon, which is the perfect time to enjoy a sunset river cruise

Day7 - Phnom Penh

Gain an introduction to the city's history and architecture by taking a carbon-friendly tour by cyclo in the morning, finishing at the National Museum and the nearby boutiques of street 178. Continuing after lunch, we move to the stunning Royal Palace, and Silver Pagoda in its compound.

Day 8 - Phnom Penh

We start with a trip by boat up the Mekong river to the traditional silk-weaving village of Okgna Tei, on Koh Dach island in the river. In the afternoon, we can visit the Russian Market, once world-renowned for its gemstones, or the art deco Central Market.

In the evening, visit the Sovannah Phum theatre for a display of traditional music, dance and shadow puppetry.

Day 9 - Funan and Water Chenla civilisations

Depart Phnom Penh after breakfast to explore the waterways and temples of the Funan and Water Chenla civilizations, by speed boat to Phnom Da and Angkor Borei, on the way to Kampot and Kep on the south coast

Day 10 - Kep & Kampot

Relax and enjoy the seafood for which Kep is famous - served with the famous Kampot pepper. Take a short boat trip out to Koh Tonsay, Rabbit Island, and either swim and snorkel or just relax on the beach. If not feeling the need to relax, hire a sailing boat (Hobie Cat) from the sailing club.

Day 11 - Kep & Kampot

Free time, in this most relaxed of beach towns - perhaps enjoying the "rejuvenation" spa package at Knai Bang Chatt.

Day12 - Sihanoukville

Take a day trip out on one of Cambodia's dive boats, either to dive or just swim and snorkel.

Day13 - Return & Depart from Phnom Penh

Transfer to your flight home
