The Golf Courses
Siem Reap's three new courses have none of the crowds of Thailand but are ranked among the best newcomers in Southeast Asia. The courses offer challenge and variety for all standards up to and including the competitors of the Asian Tour. Whether you are in Cambodia on a golfing vacation or with family to visit Angkor Wat you will be sure to enjoy leisurely, unhurried golf and fine hotels, dining and massage. Phokeethra Country Club
Home of the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open as part of the Asian Tour, the Phokeethra Country Club is managed by the Sofitel/Accor group. The course is a challenging 7145 yard course by V Golf Design that includes the 11th Century Roluh Bridge between the 9th green and 10th tee. Siem Reap Lakes Golf Resort
The Lakes Course, is part of the Korean KTC Leisure group, and opened in 2009 as Siem Reap's third international standard golf course. Designed by Kentaro Sato, the course features wide palm-lined fairways with several blind water hazards, and some severe greenside bunkers which demand accurate approach shots.
Phnom Penh Golf
Away from Siem Reap, Phnom Penh has two older golf courses.The Royal Cambodia Golf Club was built in 1999, another V Golf Design course of 7079 yards, and is 9km south of Phnom Penh, offering a great value round of golf to visitors to the capital. The Cambodia Golf and Country Club is further from Phnom Penh (about 35km), and is the oldest of the main courses, opening in 1996, but offers a night-lit course.
Excitement surrounds the recently announced 27 hole golf centre which will be opened with world class facilities by the Sofitel group under the Phokeethra brand. Also recently announced is the 36 hole Bokor Montain resort under the Sokha Group.
