Day 1	Arrive in Siem Reap; Cycle tour - choose from temple or countryside routes
Day 2	Explore the iconic temples of Bayon and Ta Prohm & the city of Angkor Thom by tuk-tuk
Day 3	Depart Siem Reap by 4-WD to Prey Veng for overnight camping, clambering over the ruins of Beng Mealea en route.
Day 4	Hike through forest to Prasat Phnom Sondark
Day 5	Return to Siem Reap, stopping at seldom-visited Koh Ker temple; relax with a massage
Day 6	Admire the communities and birdlife on the Tonle Sap Lake with a half day kayaking
Day 7	Experience sunrise at majestic Angkor Wat and transfer to your departure flight

Daily Details

Day 1 - Cycle Tour the Backways around Siem Reap

Morning:
Be met from your flight with a private transfer to your chosen hotel. You may wish to consider our VIP arrival option and be whisked past the queues of tourists who wait in line for their Visas with our fast-track visa and baggage collection process.

Afternoon:
This afternoon loosen your legs after your flight, with a choice of cycle rides. Choose from an introductory ride around some of the Siem Reap countryside, through rice paddies and farming villages to get a glimpse of the real Cambodia. Alternatively, tour some of the less-visited sites around Angkor to the temples of the Grand Circuit, taking a cross-country route to arrive at Preah Khan.

Day 2 - Tuk-Tuk Tour of Temples of the Forest

Morning:
Begin your day early at Srah Srang then photogenic Ta Prohm temple of "Tomb Raider" fame. Undisturbed by crowds of tourists you can better appreciate the interplay of man and nature at this magical site. Wind your way through temple sites without having to retrace your steps: walking through the forest to the seldom-visited Ta Nei temple before ending the morning on top Ta Keo, an imposing temple mountain with challenging steps.

Afternoon:
After lunch and perhaps a swim or massage, enter the ancient city of Angkor Thom at the Victory gate before uniquely walking along the 8m high wall through the forest to the seldom visited Death Gate. Passing behind the terraces of Elephants and Leper King walk though the shaded parkland to Phimeanakas and Baphuon temples, learning about the trees and fruits used locally. Bayon temple temple rounds off our afternoon with its iconic carved faces, before a welcome sunset drink.

Day 3 - Prey Veng overnight camping

Morning:
Depart Siem Reap by 4-WD to Prey Veng, a remote forest village in the Khulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary. Depending on weather conditions this journey can be made by motorbike. Stop at the wonderful jungle-clad Beng Mealea on route and enjoy clambering over the ruins.

Afternoon:
Visit jungle-clad Prasat Prey Veng. Your campsite lies on the banks of an ancient Angkorian Baray (reservoir), now an important feeding site for many rare birds and mammals. Relish the peace and tranquility of the natural surrounding from your safari style tent.

Day 4 - Full day hiking

Rise early for a full days hike through undisturbed forest to Prasat Phnom Sondark. Enjoy this remote temple hidden on a hilltop, a rarely visited gem you will experience all to yourself. Exploring this site is the closest you will get to that Indiana Jones experience. Few have heard of this place - a true unique experience.

A local guide will find the path and the Sam Veasna Center guide will point out the endangered wildlife on route. This is a unique and exceptional experience limited to few travelers.

Day 5 - Prey Veng to Siem Reap

Morning:
Enjoy waking to the sounds of nature, before transferring back to Siem Reap, stopping at the impressive and seldom-visited Koh Ker temple on the way.

Afternoon:
To relax and unwind, indulge in a well-earned massage spa treatment at one of Siem Reap's top spas which will ease your muscles following your exertion and recharge your batteries for the next couple of days.

Day 6 - Kayaking on the Tonle Sap

Morning:
Enjoy a half day out on the Tonle Sap Lake, a huge inland waterway offering little explored kayaking routes through flooded forests to floating villages. If feeling fresh after your camping trip, you may choose to travel across the open lake by motorboat to kayak in the core bird reserve and floating villages of Prek Toal (at extra cost).

Day 7 - Angkor Wat Sunrise

Morning:
Opt for an early start for breath-taking sunrise exploration of Angkor Wat, one of mankind's architectural gems. Take advantage of the relative cool and tranquility of the morning to explore the central complex and surrounding bas-reliefs, taking either a local breakfast or returning to your hotel. Depending on your flight departure time, you can decide if you feel like exploring Siem Reap town in the mid-late morning, more temple sites or relax with a massage and swim before lunch.

Afternoon:
Private transfer for your departure flight.

To book your tour, we require email confirmation of a final itinerary a minimum of 10 days prior to arrival. We accept credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or cash payment (USD) on arrival for the total amount. If we book domestic flights for you as part of your itinerary, we will require a 1/3 deposit 1 month prior to your arrival. If you would like to pay by credit card, there is an additional 2.1% transaction charge we are required to add.
