Day 1	Arrive in Siem Reap; begin touring at Banteay Kdei before a relaxing sunset drink
Day 2	Gain a breathtaking bird's eye view of the temple complex with a helicopter ride followed by temple land exploration; in the afternoon enjoy a private cooking class
Day 3	Delve into local markets and then visit iconic temples including Bayon; enjoy an evening's traditional APSARA dance show and dinner
Day 4	Get active with a countryside and hidden temple walk; visit the Golden silk farm and optional ox-cart ride
Day 5	Visit Siem Reap's up and coming art galleries; in the afternoon see the real Cambodia with a photography trip to rural villages
Day 6	Enjoy the sun rise at majestic Angkor Wat, later visiting the Tonle Sap Lake with its stilted and floating villages

Daily Details

Day 1 - Arrive into Siem Reap

Morning:
We meet you from your flight with a private transfer to your chosen hotel. You may wish to consider our VIP arrival option and be whisked past the queues of tourists who wait in line for their Visas with our fast-track visa and baggage collection process.

Afternoon:
In the afternoon you will have your first taste of the Angkor temples. Explore the sprawling labyrinth of Banteay Kdei with the Hall of the Dancing Girls. Then enjoy sunset drinks with a leisurely boat ride on the moat of Angkor Thom and view hidden elements of the ancient Khmer water systems, relaxing with G&T in hand and accompanied by the sound of bird song.

Day 2 - Helicopter flight and cooking class

Morning:
Take an unforgettable helicopter ride over the world heritage park for breathtaking views. Depending on your route (costs vary) see just how vast the area was, and in parts still is, as well as the Tonle Sap and further out. Continue your exploration by land, heading to photogenic Ta Prohm temple. Enjoy the lightly visited temple of Ta Nei with a reasonable chance of having this beautiful Angkor temple to yourself to explore, ending the morning at Ta Keo temple.

Afternoon:
Set within a shaded grove of palm and bamboo trees, enjoy the beautiful location for your private village cooking class. Classes include a short walk in the local village to learn about food and its role in Cambodian life. You also we will learn about traditional beliefs, customs and superstitions with foods, herbs and spices before enjoying your culinary feast.

Day 3 - Local Markets and Angkor Thom

Morning:
Take a tuk-tuk to explore local markets; Old and Central Markets for typical souvenir shopping or Psa Leu for a completely untouristic experience, selling all kinds of wonderful, exotic foodstuffs such as snakes, spiders, waterfowl and fried bugs.

Afternoon:
Enter the ancient city of Angkor Thom at the Victory gate before uniquely walking along the 8m high wall through the forest to the seldom visited Death Gate. Passing behind the terraces of Elephants and Leper King walk though the shaded parkland to Phimeanakas and Baphuon temples, learning about the trees and fruits used locally. Impressive Bayon temple temple rounds off your afternoon with its iconic carved faces. In the evening, enjoy a traditional APSARA dance show with dinner.

Day 4 - Countryside walk and silk farm

Morning:
Experience Siem Reap with a unique guided walk in the surrounding countryside. Your guide will point out the wildlife and flora and fauna on route. Walk around seldom-visited temples including the tranquil Chau Srei Vibol, a charming hill top temple, and enjoy a picnic lunch in beautiful tranquil surroundings.

Afternoon:
Visit the Golden Silk Farm which produces unique, individual silk pieces from the yellow silkworm, traditionally found in Southeast Asia. Whilst at the farm you will have a guided tour to visit the weaving ateliers, and speak to the people who are teaching, (and learning) about the weaving process, visit the mulberry farm, try an ox-cart ride, even try your hand at weaving (additional cost).

Day 5 - Art Gallery Tour and Photography Tour

Morning:
Visit up and coming galleries of Siem Reap. Start at John McDermott's Gallery at the famous FCC building overlooking the Siem Reap river. Move onto the DIWO Gallery, featuring a selection of Khmer statues, Buddha's and photographs. Finally, visit Theam's house, a mix of art studio, atelier and gallery and the place to while away an hour or so observing unique products, lacquered panels and works-in-progress by the artist Theam, who is helping to revive the Cambodian craft sector.

Afternoon:
Enjoy lunch at the Paul Du Brule Hotel and Tourism school restaurant which welcome guests and allow students to acquire real-life experience under the watchful eyes of experienced teachers. Then go out with our photographer tuk-tuk driver, Mr. Kimleng Sang, who will show you the real Cambodia, and some secret spots where you won't be able to take a bad photograph. Capture rice paddies, villages, working oxen, markets and village life (No guide or temples).

Day 6 - Angkor Wat Sunrise and Exploration

Morning:
You can opt for an early start for breath-taking sunrise exploration of Angkor Wat, one of mankind's architectural gems. Take advantage of the relative cool and tranquility of the morning to explore the central complex and surrounding bas-reliefs, taking either a local breakfast or returning to the hotel. Optionally you may feed the elephants with bananas for their breakfast.

Afternoon:
After late breakfast, travel by car through the Cambodian countryside to the photogenic village of Kompong Khleang (depending on the season). A world away from the touristic Chong Kneas floating villages, this largest stilted village in Cambodia sees few visitors. Climb up into a house to see how a subsistence fishing family lives. Then enjoy a private picnic lunch in your own stilted house. Return to Siem Reap optionally visiting serene Bakong Temple, to listen to the chanting monks and receive a blessing.

To book your tour, we require email confirmation of a final itinerary a minimum of 10 days prior to arrival. We accept credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or cash payment (USD) on arrival for the total amount. If we book domestic flights for you as part of your itinerary, we will require a 1/3 deposit 1 month prior to your arrival. If you would like to pay by credit card, there is an additional 2.1% transaction charge we are required to add.
