What is the situation with border crossings?

Border crossing policies change all the time, sometimes due to international relationships between the countries that share the border, or for no apparent reason. Cambodia shares land borders with Laos to the northwest, Thailand to the east and northeast and Vietnam to the west. There are numerous border crossings but the most used and reliable ones are Aranyaprathet-Poipet and Hat Lek-Koh Kong for the borders with Thailand, Moc Bai-Bavet and Ving Xuong-Kaam Samnor for the borders with Vietnam and Voeung Kam-Dom Kralor for the border with Laos. Tourist visas are usually available at these checkpoints and a lot of travelers use them on a daily basis, however, you should always check the latest information before you travel. Please see our
