How many days do I need to visit Angkor Wat?

Angkor Archaelogical Park occupies over 400 square kilometers and it is a World heritage site. It contains some of the most breathtaking temple ruins in the world, including Angkor Wat, but also Bayon, Banteay Srei, Tah Prohm and many more ruins worth visiting. The time you spend exploring these sites really depends on how interested you are in archaeology and ancient history - and on the quality of your guide. A one day ticket costs US$20, a three day ticket that can be used over a period of seven days US$40 and a seven day ticket that can be used over a period of 30 days US$60. See our

Many unguided travellers often only visit for a day or so. We think that 3-5 days is enough for a good slice of Angkorian temples and Cambodian life at a reasonable pace, but the adventurous can easily spend a week or more.
