Sokha Beach Resort is the best accommodation option in Sihanoukville, at least on the mainland. Set on a white sand pristine beach front, this resort has spa facilities, two big outdoor swimming pools and is decorated in a modern Khmer style, with bamboo furniture and terra-cotta floors. All the suites have views over the ocean.
The hotel is located on its own private 'Sokha Beach', several kilometers away from the busier Occheuteal Beach - a haven from the crowded areas of Sihanoukville.
There are 166 rooms in this Sokha hotel. We usually reserve the Deluxe rooms in the Ocean wing for our guests.
The best room available is the Royal Sokha Suite occupying 308 square meters including a private balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. The room has a living and dining area and private butler and chef. 2 ensuite bedrooms also feature in the suite.
The beach is undoubtedly the principal facility here. There is also a luxury pool with a poolside bar, a tennis court, 2 restaurants and 3 bars, first class gymnasium, beauty salon, watersports.
Sokha Beach Resort
Quite simply the beach, that's what you are here for. You can try a variety of watersports including jet skiing or windsurfing, or just laze on the pristine white sand of this beautifully defined private beach, within a few minutes of the luxurious hotel facilities.
"Sihanoukville is a 3 hour car trip from Phnom Penh and the beach town is a clustered group of budget guest houses, happy hours and cheap dining options. The Sokha is not the same cultural experience as you would have in the rest of town but is rather a quiet place to relax away from the noise and bustle of it all if you've been in the city all week. A huge buffet is served each morning and you can spend your day in the large pool swimming up to the bar for smoothies, take a dip in the Gulf of Thailand, get a traditional Khmer massage for an excellent price, workout in the gym and enjoy a seafood dinner on the deck of the pool without ever leaving the complex. If you'd like to experience the local scene, there are tour bus shuttles available and the local food is quite good and a much better value than at the Sokha."
