Flights Kuala Lumpur-Phnom Penh are currently run by both Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines. Air Asia offers some very cheap flights between Kuala Lumpur and Phnom Penh (and many other destinations), and can be a good way to travel. Air Asia X now offers long distance flights to Australia and the UK, so cheap long haul air travel is possible for those on a tight budget. Both carriers fly daily, with flights available in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon - which can often be more convenient than the Kuala Lumpur-Siem Reap flight. Flying to Phnom Penh from Kuala Lumpur, then an internal flight (Phnom Penh-Siem Reap) can be a cost-effective way of flying to Siem Reap from KL, particularly for those unable to make the early morning KL-Siem Reap flight.
We are not, generally, able to supply international air tickets. We can offer advice on traveling to Cambodia by air, but we have found that we cannot (usually) find better deals than are able to be found on the internet, and this is particularly true for the budget airlines such as Air Asia. We therefore recommend that you arrange your flight to Cambodia, and let us look after you once you are here. It is sometimes possible to arrange group flights to Cambodia, so please get in contact if you would like to investigate cheap flight packages to the country.
Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur aspires to be Singapore but at times feels more like Bangkok. The contrast between the clean, efficiency of Singapore and the rough edges of Bangkok conjures up much of KL's undoubted charm. We recommend spending between 2 and 4 days in the city at either end of your Southeast Asian travels.
Peerless service standards and local positioning have made us the tour operator of choice by international luxury travel groups and discerning independent travellers to Angkor Wat, Cambodia and Southeast Asia.
