Is Cambodia gay friendly?

Cambodia is not, perhaps, as experienced as its neighbour Thailand in accommodating gay travelers, but you will find that Khmers are a very welcoming and tolerant people. Parts of Phnom Penh, especially, have a very liberal attitude, and a small but thriving gay scene. Both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh have gay-friendly bars, hotels and saunas/spas. Outside the tourist centers things are not so cosmopolitan, and the local Khmers may be a little more conservative, but you are extremely unlikely to ever be hassled.
