Sambor Village is a boutique hotel located in Kampong Thom, half way between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, which is set in wonderful garden surroundings in a secluded environment away from the busy city.
The hotel is situated 600 meters away from the center of town on Brocheatebatey Road, which is a turning off the main National Road 6.
There are 19 rooms in the hotel.
The best room at Sambor Village is the Suite. 52 square meters of space in which there is a king size bed, ensuite bathroom, living area, flat screen television and private terrace area.
The hotel's restaurant is very pleasant. There are views both over the resort's swimming pool but also the Stung Seng River. A pool sits within the tropical garden, and there is also a bar and in room cable TV.
The secluded location makes for a very welcome break, and only a short drive away is some beautiful Cambodian countryside and Angkorian ruins.
"We stayed here for one night to break the journey from PP to SR. There was a bit of a mix-up with our booking so we were only able to stay one night as opposed to two but they did everything they could to try and rectify this by booking us into the Stungsen for one night. The Sambor Village is really lovely. The bungalows are 'rustic' but very stylish and have a/c. It's peaceful (apart from some building work next door) and is in a lovely spot next to the river. Good for exploring the village. The food in the restaurant is excellent! I would recommend this if you want to see the less touristed Cambodia and we wish we could have stayed longer."
