Terres Rouges is a boutique hotel set in a beautiful location in the mountains of Ratanakiri next to Boeung Kan Siang Lake with elegant rooms which overlook a pool set within spectacular natural surroundings. Caring staff and a personal touch make this a very popular choice.
The hotel is just outside the main town off Highway 19, right next to the Boeung Kan Siang Lake.
The hotel has 23 rooms centered around the main swimming pool.
There are 7 suites which all boast quality decor throughout which are influenced by a combination of Khmer, Balinese and modern western styles. The historical suite is at the top of the house offers great views over the lake.
There is a pool set within a stunning garden, a spa and massage service, a bowling green and rooms complete with air conditioning, TV and DVD player.
The location is difficult to beat, the views are breathtaking and you have the choice to swim in the pool or be at one with nature and take a dip in the lake (slightly colder!).
"The Terres Rouge is one of the most tastefully done places I have stayed in a long time. From the minute you walk in, you know that you are not in some cookie-cutter hotel. The attention to detail on the layout and design was the first thing that I noticed. I didn't get to meet Pierre, the former French Para-trooper owner, but I can see that this has been a labor of love for him. The nostalgic bits and pieces of art, the Tin Tin posters, the furniture all makes it feel like a museum of old world style from a young boys perspective. The garden and the open space is fantastic and allows you to feel that you are a guest at a mansion rather than a hotel. The pool is great, the restaurant is good and even the massage rated a 8 out of 10 for this picky customer."
Within town there are several options of varying luxury from guesthouses to higher end hotels.
Peerless service standards and local positioning have made us the tour operator of choice by international luxury travel groups and discerning independent travellers to Angkor Wat, Cambodia and Southeast Asia.
