Belmond La Résidence d'Angkor is a luxurious hotel just a short while outside of the center of Siem Reap town which overlooks the banks of the river. A gleaming wood finish and elegant traditional style make the hotel a very popular choice for visitors to Siem Reap.

Location

The hotel is located on the right hand side of the Siem Reap river on your way out of town toward the Angkor temples. A very peaceful spot, but also within a stone's throw of the town center.

Rooms

The hotel has 54 rooms and 8 suites. All deluxe rooms are a generous 45m², and we use the more expensive Poolside rooms as standard - the Riverside rooms face road, then river.

Best Rooms

The best rooms available in this hotel are the La Résidence Suites - twice the size of the deluxe rooms, and beautifully appointed, with a small private garden.

Facilities

The hotel has a pool, fitness center and acclaimed spa. There are also 2 bars and 2 restaurants, boutiques and a meeting room.

The exquisite Kong Kea spa is a must, and we do like the Martini bar.

"It was surprising to find such a gem... My husband and I love the ambiance of the place and the serenity it gave us after much walking and travelling to different tourist spots in the area. The people were generally friendly and despite the obvious language barriers, they always looked eager to help out. I thought I would have issues with the food (I tend to have a slight tolerance for certain cuisines) but it was excellent and well presented. Would easily come back to the hotel just for the Vanilla and Gingerbread Cheesecake with Pineapple Sorbet!"
